While many exotic spices are now readily available today, the art of using these spices to create wonderful flavor and diversity of taste is not as easily accessible. Indian cuisine is revered around the world and while many of the more popular dishes and recipes have made it to the shelves, what is missing is the use of the very spices that are the foundation of Indian cooking in a way that is more friendly and tailored to Western tastes. The exotic subtleties of different spice flavors can be combined to create unique fusion tastes that can awaken the palette without overpowering it.
Our inspiration is my mom’s cooking. An Indian immigrant, a doctor, & a mother, she balanced her heritage, her career & family. The kitchen is the heart of a home and in our kitchen, she assimilated her new world with that of the country she left behind. The result was something unique and special that for the past forty years has brought much delight to our family & friends, with a common refrain being, “Can I get that recipe?” or “How did you make that?”. Our inaugural product was so special that we kept it a closely held family secret for years, and we now humbly offer it to you for your home.
